The institution is currently swimming in scandal after a BBC Africa eye exposed another lecturer, Boniface Igbeneghu.

Oladipo was seen in the second stream of a documentary on the sexual assault released on Monday by an undercover reporter, Kiki Mordi.

The University had earlier suspended Igbeneghu, a lecturer and former sub-dean of the faculty of arts.

Many Nigerians have continued to share their experiences on social media following the release of the documentary.

The Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Oluwatoyin Ogundipe reportedly confirmed the suspension of Oladipo.

He was said to have that “he would be made to face a panel”

“The entire episode is unfortunate and tragic because lecturers are supposed to be loco parentis to the students. My appeal to our colleagues is to refrain from a negative act that can tarnish the image of the university and themselves,” Ogundipe was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) had called for an investigation into the allegations against the lecturers.

The Chairman of the Union’s branch at UNILAG, Dele Ashiru condemned the development and warned members to refrain from such actions.
