The Supervising Minister Of Education, Barr Nyesom Wike, Has Not Resigned His Position – PDP

The Rivers State Chapter of the People Democratic Party (PDP), has debunked the publication in some quarters of the media alleging that the Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, has resigned his position.

This was contained in a statement sent to Naija Center News (NCN), signed by the Special adviser on Media to State PDP Chairman, Mr. Jerry Needam.

The party said that the Honorable Minister has not resigned his membership of the Federal Executive Council and has not at the moment contemplated doing so.

The statement continued ” The PDP therefore calls on its members and the general public to discountenance this concocted, false, misleading and calumnious speculation, which we are aware, is a creation by mischief makers and enemies of the Honourable Minister and the Party.

PDP also accuses All Progressives Congress, (APC) of employing such strategy to upset the general public against the PDP in the State and Nigeria at large.

It said ” The PDP also warns its teeming members and the general public to be deceived by falsehood emanating from political opponents, particularly, the All Progressives Congress, APC but to be steadfast and more committed to the struggle of liberating the people and the State from neo-colonialism and bad governance by the APC folks.

“The PDP says it is aware that this conjecture of falsehood is part of the many strategies employed by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the opposition in their efforts to provoke public umbrage against the genuine programmes and activities of the majority Party (the PDP) in the State and the nation.

“The Party however says it has put in place modalities to check and thwart every of such ill-conceived plan against its successes by the opposition parties, particularly, the APC.
