Oshiomhole Ran With His Tails Between His Legs – Fani-Kayode Mocks
A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has mocked the National Chairman of the All Progressives, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over the news that he ran to the United States.
Oshiomhole was allegedly grilled for 9hours at the office of the Department of Social Security over the allegation that he collected money from some aspirants of the party to change the lists submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The former governor of Edo State became the APC Chairman five months ago and had been accused by some party governors and the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari for hijacking the primaries held across the nation.
NAIJA CENTER NEWS had reported that Oshiomhole was in the United States and had missed the dinner with the President and the aggrieved APC members at the Presidential Villa.
Another report indicated that the former governor left the country hours after he was interrogated by the DSS officials.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode mocked the APC Chairman, saying that he ran to the US with his tails between his legs.
“I thought Adams Oshiomole had more strength than that. After just 2 rounds with the DSS he ran away to America with his tail between his legs to catch his breath. Real leaders have courage, staying power, strength and stamina. They stand and they fight. Only rogues and cowards run”
According to Punch newspaper report, Buhari has refused to stop further grilling of the APC Chairman who many had passed a vote of no confidence in.
“The comrade (Oshiomhole) is expected to return for further interrogation when he returns to the country. That’s why we released him on administrative bail.
“We are still looking at his statements and also carrying out further investigations. This type of operation is not meant for the members of the public.
“Rather, we will brief the President when the report is ready. Oshiomhole is the national chairman of the President’s political party. He deserves to know our report first.” The newspaper quoted a source.
Meanwhile, Oshiomhole had said he won’t resign his position unless the President is no longer interested in his service. He disclosed to the DSS that his actions were backed by the President.
