Atiku’s legal team submitted a sheet at the tribunal last month contradicting the result announced by the INEC declaring President Muhammadu Buhari the winner of the presidential election.

PDP had claimed that its findings showed the presidential candidate won by six million votes, adding that his victory was skewed in favour of the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

INEC claimed that the electronic sheet which Atiku’s legal team claimed to contain the genuine results from an internal compilation on INEC internet server were fabricated, according to the response the election giant filed at the Tribunal on Thursday in Abuja.

The umpire said it, “does not share information with such an unclassified entity and any information purportedly derived therefrom which does not accord with the result as declared by INEC is not authentic but rather was invented for the purpose”.

In the 291-page response which Premiumtimes claimed it has seen claimed that it did not transmit result via electronic channels. It claimed that it used manual collation according to the law.

It, however, did not say whether it collated results from across the country and compiled them on an Internet-enabled computer.

Meanwhile, after Atiku’s legal team made its findings public, supporters of the All Progressives Congress claimed that INEC files were maliciously accessed. It wrote to the State Security Service to launch a criminal investigation against the PDP candidate.
