“I commiserate with the wives and children of Chief Anenih, the entire family, Edo people and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the passing of our illustrious father and former Chairman, Board of Trustees.

“I can never forget how Chief Anenih came all the way from Uromi, his hometown, to my house in Benin City to persuade me to accept the outcome of the House of Representatives election I contested on the platform of PDP in 2007.

“His humility and measured disposition to peace at all cost shattered my resolve to seek redress of any kind even though I felt cheated with the outcome of the election.

“l learned from him that day that the slowness of a lion is not an act of cowardice, it’s the beauty of his nature.

“Here was a man capable of fixing anything, including myself, as he was popularly called, yet he demonstrated absolute calmness and mystical dignity never witness since I was born”, Aguebor said.

The business mogul attests to Chief Anenih’s lifetime as a figure in the annals of Nigerian political history as well as a legend whose services, as State Chairman of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), chieftain of the PDP, and a former Minister of Works signposts the way out of our protracted crises as a people and nation.

Chief Aguebor affirms that across the political spectrum of Nigeria, Chief Anenih was known for providing solutions to every crisis he encountered, hence the name; “Mr Fix It”.

Chief Aguebor prays the eternal timer to grant Chief Anenih’s soul eternal rest and comfort all of us who one way or the other benefited from the Octogenarian’s magnanimity.
