‘Fresh PDP’ Crew Are Paid Rogues, PDP @ Your Door Campaign Forum Says
The National Coordinator, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @ Your Door Campaign Forum, Comrade Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani has joined other loyal party faithful in dismissing those he described as ‘rogues’ claiming to have formed parallel executives of the party.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the forum, Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Saturday, he said the forum after investigations, has concluded that they are being used by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to cause disaffection in their party.
“We did not rush into issuing a statement on this matter, but did private investigations that point to some sympathizers of the APC.,” it stated.
The statement further said that aware of the threat the emergence of a winning team of executives from the PDP convention, some desperate elements from the ruling party decided to try a new trick.
“Having a clear view of how 2019 will turn out if the status quo remains, they are now bent on playing dirty by giving an impression that there is a division in our great party.
” It is disheartening to note that those parading themselves, were not even significant contestants in the convention.
“This is even more suspicious owing to the fact that it was staged just a day after a representative from our party defected on the floor of the House. Our laws state that such a defection can only take place if there is a division within a party, something they now want to create,” it stated.
The forum praised former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi for conducting a credible free and fair elective national convention.
“The convention at the Eagle Square on December 9, should be like a marking scheme for the party that after taking over power is dead scared of conducting a convention,” it said.
The statement further explained that Nigerians are now wiser and are counting down to 2019 when they will openly show their displeasure with the APC.
“Nigerians can’t wait to get rid of a party that only thrives on propaganda and lies. They can see the hand writing on the wall and are desperately trying to prevent it but the more they act underground, the more their folly is displayed in the open,” the statement added.
