Edo PDP has restructured – Foundation
The Noble Adventure for Mankind Empowerment (NAME) Foundation has said that the election of a 32-year old man, Architect Thaddeus Irabor, as the State Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State showed the party has actually restructured itself.
It said the election of Architect Thaddeus showed that the PDP was ready to give the youth a chance.
Vice President of NAME, Darlington Ose, who spoke in a chat with newsmen said the PDP in Edo has learnt from its past mistakes and is now leading in the way things should be done.
Darlington noted that in the past men above 50 were made youth leaders of a party.
He said the PDP was unlike the All Progressive Congress where a 65-year old man is the party’s youth chairman.
According to him, “His election means that there are opportunities for the youth. It means our politicians have started embracing the young ones and giving them a chance.”
“For the first in this state, a young man who is just 32 has emerged the Youth Leader of the PDP. This is putting square peg in a square. This is about restructuring the unstructured PDP in Edo. PDP has learnt from their past mistake and they are now leading the way things should go.
“The election of Thaddeus will give other youths the belief that when they work hard and set achievable goals, they will be recognize by the society. This is not the time for youth to be used for thuggery. Youths can aim higher and do things rightly.”
