Edo LGA Party Chieftain Denies Partaken In Alleged Attack On Ex Lawmakers’ Residence
A chieftain and chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ovia North East, Ambassador Etiosa Ighodaro, has denied any involvement in the recent suspected thugs attack on a former member representing Ovia federal constituency Hon Engr. Isaac Osahon residential home.
Speaking to newsmen in Benin city, Ighodaro described the allegations as false, a ploy to blackmail him and to score cheap political gains by those he censored as enemies of a democratic process.
In his words: “That I called Hon Engr Isaac Osahon is completely false. I have not called Engr Osahon for over a year now. The network service provider will reveal it through the net calls he received on Investigation”.
NAIJA CENTER had reported the ugly incident that saw the destruction of property worth millions of naira in the resident of Honourable Osahon who represented Ovia from 2011 to 2015 at the federal house of representatives was attacked while holding a meeting with some of his political allies.
He stated that, prior to the attack, which saw hundreds of thugs besieged his house, Etiosa Ighodaro had threatened to unleash thugs on him if he conveyed any meeting anywhere in the state.
He said, “I saw Mathew Ekhibiorobo with my naked eyes, he led the tugs to my personal resident with a sienna car, look out the flour littered with bullets”
“they invaded my house, destroyed some vehicles and carted away valuables such as money, phones and the likes. The assured my aged mother in-line. The attackers are loyal to the state government, we don’t belong to the same side”
He appealed to the security agencies to swing into action and fish out the culprits of this dastardly acts in order to bring them to justice
