Buhari Will Go Back To Daura To Face His Cow After 2023, Says Babachir
- Tinubu will make a good president in 2023
- Igbos can’t cooperate to present anyone
A former secretary to the government of the federation, Babachir Lawan says President Muhammadu Buhari will return to his own state, Daura to face his cows.
“By 2023 when Buhari’s tenure will be over, he’ll go back to Daura to face his cows like I am doing. But you see, every leader must leave behind a legacy. I will like to see that he leaves behind a legacy of achievement,” he said.
He said this while speaking in Yola, Adamawa State capital.
Bola Tinubu Will Make A Good President
Babachir also said a former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu would make a good modern President of Nigeria.
The former SGF said Tinubu is fit to be the next President of Nigeria, adding that he supports power rotation to the south in 2023.
There had been speculations that the Leader of the All Progressives Congress was eyeing the number seat in the country.
Tinubu is yet to make his ambition known publicly.
Lawal said power rotation should be one of the legacies of Buhari.
“Bola Tinubu is my friend of many years. Buhari is my big boss. Bola Tinubu without prejudice that he’s my friend, will make a good president.
“Other issues notwithstanding, he (Tinubu) will make a good modern president because the presidency these days is scientific. Nigerians, by convention, seem to have agreed that there should be a rotation of the presidency.”
Speaking on whether the north was blocking Igbo presidency, Lawal said even the South-Easterners have not been working together to present anyone.
“But they (south-easterners) have not been working together to actualise an Igbo presidency,” he said.
