President Muhammadu Buhari met with the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and his party members, All Progressives Congress.
The APC delegates were led by the party Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun while the PDP was led by the national caretaker committee chairman, Ahmed Makarfi.
The meeting took place at the new Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Makarfi in his remark assured President Buhari that his party will keep supporting his administration in order to take the nation higher ground.
He, however, urged the APC to have regard for judiciary pronouncement on corruption cases.
The PDPs prayed that God give Buhari more strength and wisdom to pilot the country’s affair.
The APC National Chairman, Oyegun said the meeting was an illustration that Buhari is the President of all irrespective of political party, religious and ethnic affiliations.
The President in his remark, said the meeting is a sign of national unity, acknowledging that a real democracy need opposition which, according to him does not mean hostility or antagonism.
