State Security Searched Atiku At the Abuja Airport On Return From Dubai
The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar accused the security agents of intimidating him at the International airport in Abuja.
Atiku returned to Nigeria after spending two weeks in Dubai where he held a strategy meeting with members of his campaign team.
The Presidential candidate who left Nigeria in Mid-October said he was harassed and searched by the State Security agents in an attempt to intimidate him
Though Atiku did not mention which of the security agency was responsible, it is no news that immigration officials, state security Service and the Police are usually found at the Airport
What was discovered during the search was not also disclosed.
Atiku took to his twitter handle on Sunday to vent his disappointment on the development, vowing to build a Nigeria where citizens are not intimidated.
“I arrived to Abuja this morning to a search by agents of the state, aimed at intimidating me and my staff. I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of the state who are paid to protect them. Together,” he said.
