Nigeria Total Coronavirus Cases Reach 232

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced eight new Coronavirus in the country on Sunday night.

According to NCDC, 5 were confirmed in Lagos, 2 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja while one was confirmed in Kaduna State.

Nigeria Covid-19 cases reached a total of 232, 33 discharged and five deaths.

“Eight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 5 in Lagos, 2 in the FCT and 1 in Kaduna State.

“As at 09:30 pm 5th April there are 232 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Thirty-three have been discharged with five deaths”

With the country confirming cases on a daily basis, the spread of the virus may take a toll despite several measures by the Federal government of Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari had announced a lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja in an effort to curtail the spread of the virus.

Other measures like border closure, inter-state ban and close gatherings have announed by the government.
