NCDC Records 284 New Cases As COVID-19 Infections Hit 6,677
The COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has continued to increase despite several measures by the Nigerian government.
On Wednesday night, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 284 new cases of COVID-19.
This brings the total to 6,677 cases.
The new cases which were announced via Twitter showed that Lagos State and Rivers State recorded the highest numbers of infections.
Of the 284 cases, Lagos recorded 199 cases followed by Rivers State with 26 new cases; 19 confirmed in Oyo State while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded 8 cases.
Other states affected are Borno state with 8 cases, Plateau followed with 7 cases and Jigawa confirmed 6 cases.
5 was recorded in Kano, 2 in Abia State while Ekiti, Kwara, Taraba and Delta states recorded one respectively.
The country has also discharged 1,840 and unfortunately lost 200 patients to COVID-19 complications.
