Armed bandits have kidnapped three persons in Jalingo, the state capital, the Taraba State Police Command confirmed.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr David Misal, the gunmen abducted the victims in Magami area of Jalingo in the early hours of Saturday.
Misal disclosed that the police were already tracking the perpetrators and would rescue the victims and bring them to face justice
The wife of one of the victims, Chibugo Nweze said the husband was home sleeping when the abductors struck.
The kidnappers shot sporadically, broke down the door and whisk her husband away, she lamented.
Nweze said the kidnappers ordered her husband, Ekene to dress up before whisking him away, along with the money they found in the house.
The kidnappers then pounced on the landlord, Linus Ifekweme and the neighbour, Emmanuel.
Nweze said all the victims were of Igbo descendants and all businessmen resident in Magami.
She expressed worry that the abductors have not made contacts for ransom and the whereabouts of the victims are unknown.

A similar event occurred in Benin, the State Capital of Edo State as gunmen abducted two persons.
The Kidnappers have not established contacts with the family of the victims.
