ENAW Women Impact Lives Of Children, Women In Edo State With Schools’ Supplies
A group, Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW), has positively impacted the lives of Women / Children in the three Senatorial districts of Edo State, through its Backpacks and Schools’ Supplies” Tour project.
This was disclosed by the Coordinator of the Women Affairs Branch of ENAW, Mrs. Adesuwa Omoruyi Obasohan, MBA.
While Speaking with Naija Center, Mrs Obasohan said the initiative commenced on Monday, 18th of March, 2019 for two weeks.
She said that: “in line with the ENAW Women Affairs tradition over the years, to positively impact the lives of Women / Children in the three Senatorial districts of Edo State, this year the group deemed it fit, to reach out to School Children through one of her benevolent Projects.”
The Women in diaspora headed by Mrs. Adesuwa Omoruyi Obasohan, MBA, put on a steely efforts to make certain that the Projects attained a successful height. This is a great example of ENAW Women Affairs Community initiatives.
“Within this 10th year of Women Affairs Department existence, the Department has made several donations to Hospitals in Edo State which include medical equipment, cash donations, and supplies -Incubators, Autoclaves beddings, Refrigerator, Chairs, Benches, refurbishment of the Children Ward at Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Specialists Hospital and other hospitals in Edo Central and Edo North.
Though Mrs Adesuwa Omoruyi Obasohan, is piloting the Women Affairs initiatives of ENAW, she enjoys the able support of over four hundred Women in the United States and Canada.
Mrs Obasohan continued noting that “the Women Affairs Department is a branch of Greater Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW), a 28th-year-old Humanitarian Entity, with Mr Edison Oyiboke-Osifo, National President, and Mr Martins Idemudia, Chairman of the Council of Presidents. This Organization is powered by a conglomerate of several Associations from the USA and Canada, called the Council of Presidents.”.
When she was asked the number of schools the programme has impacted, she has this to say : “several schools were beneficiaries in Oredo Local Government Areas, Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area, Egor LGA, Ovia North East, Etsako West Local Government, and Edo North Central. It was indeed a memorable experiences, as the joyous beneficiaries cherished the New Backpacks, and Schools’ Supplies. “.
With this development, ENAW Women Affairs’ benevolent gesture has touched lives in several homes, and hundreds of students educational pursuits were encouraged through these tours.
In the same vein, during it’s tour of Etsako West Local Government Areas, one Ms. Precious Obozuwa, a single mother was one of the recipients of one hundred US dollars (Equivalent of N35,700.00 at the time) to help enhance her existing business.
“Our tour of Edo Central took us to an Orphanage Home which also runs Elementary, and Secondary Schools. Backpacks, and money were also donated”, she added.
“With unity of purpose, strong corporative attitudes, and purposeful leadership, directed by the will of God, Community efforts are fully actualized”. (Mrs. Adesuwa Omoruyi Obasohan, MBA.).
In line with this stated belief, ENAW Women, in a short period, together, touched lives of Students, and Families in the Three Senatorial Districts in Edo States with the Back Packs, and Schools’ Supplies Projects in a recently concluded Tour.
Meanwhile, the ENAW Women Representatives, led by the ENAW Women Affairs Coordinator, Mrs. Adesuwa Omoruyi Obasohan, MBA. Paid a courtesy visit to the First Lady of Edo State, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, who warmly received the delegation.
The women group also visited the school at the Palace of HRH Oba Ewuare II, where many Students benefited from the tour.
Mrs. Mariam Shaibu the wife of the Deputy Governor kicked off the Tour when she accompanied the ENAW Women Affairs Coordinator, and her delegation to schools at Ikpoba Okha Local Government Areas, and few schools in Oredo Local Government Areas, including the School for the disabled students (school for the blinds, school for the deaf and dumb, school for physical challenged).
She thanked ENAW Women for embarking on such a viable educational Tour to Edo State.
