His Royal Highness, HRH Solomon Ojeaga Izuware I, Onojie of Ujiogba Kingdom in Esan land has raised an alarm over plan to assassinate him in one way or the other by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking with NAIJA CENTER NEWS on Wednesday, the Onojie said he has left his palace after he received a tip from a concerned informant that his palace would be surrounded by some unknown assassins among whom may wear police uniform in disguise.
The frightened and worried Onojie said the plan, according to the information he gathered is connected to the just concluded election in Edo State.
He alleged that himself and the Enojie of Uromi were the ones who did not compromised their stand to support the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Pastor Ize-Iyamu as they felt they had been marginalized.
He believed that the All Progressives Congress, APC is responsible for the attempt.
“I think what’s going on here is because i refused to be partisan, to join some of them in their evil idea. You know we just had election in Edo State. I was among one of the few traditional rulers who did not compromise, we had to tell our people the truth to support the PDP.
“Esanland has been marginalized in all ramifications and some of us decided to distinguish ourselves. Because of this they are coming up with petty blackmail and petitions.
“I got a report last night that some of them are planning to make a public spectacle of some of us, myself and the Enojie of Uromi using the Nigerian police.
“For peace to reign, i have left the palace for now pending when this issue down down.
On whether it is an assassination attempt as he earlier alleged, He said “i don’t know the level of arrangement now because i am not with them. They can have other intentions in their mind, they may even pretend to be police officers, they can use any other means, so i am just careful on my own.
“Nobody has come to my palace yet but i left based on information i got and i think they have an insider within my domain who is monitoring my movement, and the person may have told them that my car is not around. I believe the APC is responsible and this is purely political.”
