One Usiomoifo Micheal, a driver of Dr. David Iyamu, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Christ Medical Center close to the joint and the Doctor’s Cousin were innocently arrested where they went to buy candlesticks because of power interruption.

The said Usiomoifo Micheal was mercilessly brutalized by the Police because he demanded to know the rationale behind his unjust arrest and was subsequently taken to the Command alongside others.

According to the go-between, “Our attention was drawn to the barbaric act of the police, we immediately drew the attention of the State Commissioner of Police to the man inhumanity to man meted on the man. The ComPol was not happy with the way the police brutalized the man. He ordered for his immediate release and the man is presently receiving treatment in the hospital.

“I want to commend Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP J.B Kokumo for rapidly addressing the issue immediately we transmitted what transpires to him. This is an eloquent testimony of the fact that we still have good men with a qualm of conscience in the Police Force.

“We want to humbly appeal to the Commissioner of Police to continuously admonish the officers to act with the purview of the Rule of Law.” He said.
