Breaking: Police dispatch officers to NHIS over protest

The Nigerian Police force has deployed closed to 50 policemen to the National Health Insurance Scheme headquarters in Nigeria.

The Policemen are to control the expected solidarity rally at the agency by the Executive Secretary of the NHIS boss, Prof. Usman Yusuf.

Prof Yusuf was recently reinstated through the backdoor despite being accused of corruption.

He was accused of defrauding the agency to the tune of N919m and was returned by the President Muhammadu Buhari after being suspended by the Boss.

His reinstatement led to the grounding of activities by the unionists at the agency.

The Chairman of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria at the NHIS, Mr. Razaq Omomeji told his members not to be discouraged as the expected protesters were crowd hired by the indicted Secretary.
