Breaking: Bauchi Governor In Self-Isolation over Coronavirus

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has gone into self-isolation.

The governor is one of the dignitaries who have had contact with Mohammed Atiku Abubakar, the son of the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abuja who is currently in quarantine.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed on Sunday that Mohammed had tested positive to Coronavirus upon his return from a foreign trip through Lagos.

Mukhtar M Gidado, Senior Special Assistant to the Bauchi governor made this known on Monday afternoon.

Well, according to Gidado Governor Mohammed met with Atiku’s son in the Aero Contractors Aircraft where they shook hands and exchange pleasantries.

The aide said “So far, the Governor did not exhibit any symptoms of the disease but based on the recommendation of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, he will remain in Isolation in order to avoid the risk of spreading the disease.

“Currently, the blood sample of the Governor has been taken and is undergoing Clinical test. For the period of the clinical testing, the governor and his entourage will remain in Isolation pending the outcome of the Clinic test.

“Consequently, therefore, the governor has cancelled all his appointments with immediate effect and any inconveniences coursed are highly regretted.”
