Breaking: A Lebanese arrested at Abuja Airport With Different Currencies Worth N940m
The Nigeria Police have announced the arrest of a Lebanese Mr Abbas Lakis with eight different foreign currencies.
The arrest was made by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Lakis flew into Nigeria, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abayomi Shogunle, who disclosed the arrest on Twitter on Saturday, with close to N940m when converted.
“He flew into Nigeria with undeclared money in 8 different foreign currencies – $2m, £160,000, €140,000 & more. ” He said the “recovery valued at about ₦940m.”
