There was a pandemonium in Irrua community in Esan local government area of edo state over the killing of an unidentified woman by unknown ritualist on the 18th of August 2017.
Irrua is the largest community in Esan central local Government Area of Edo state. It is a growing industrial and commercial city which hosts one of the biggest hospitals in Edo state, The Irrua teaching hospital. Irrua is the home town of the deputy speaker of Edo state house of assembly, Hon . Victor Edoro.
An eye witness Victor O. told NAIJA CENTER NEWS that as early as 7am, on the 18th of August 2017,people were seen gathered round the body of the deceased woman at the express Road close to Irrua teaching hospital wondering who could have killed the woman.
Upon closed observation, it was discovered that some body parts of the woman were removed, her esophagus was removed,this made the people in the community believed it was a ritual killing.
As at the time of filling this report, no arrest has been made and the police are still investigating the murder case. Irrua youth carried out a protest yesterday demanding for Justice. It is known that this is not the first ritual killing in the community.
